Sunday in Virginia

Mom and dad are in Virginia now.
They live in a cute little apartment and they will stay in this one for about two weeks.
Then, they will move into a very nice large apartment.

Mom is doing wonderful.
I have been busy.
I will try to update once a week

We are going to have home nurses for mom, and we think daddy could use some help on a regular basis as well. He does not hear well anymore. All of this is a lot of work for both of them.
They are making this adjustment pretty well. It is hard to leave the house you lived in for 26 years

Saturday Joyce came to visit

And mom was pampered by Joyce today!
She got all of her nursing care from Joyce, and in the afternoon she got a
lovely shower with a lot of lovely smelling soap and shampoo
Joyce is the best nurse ever!

Mom and dad are ready to move to Broadlands, Virginia
and live in a cute little house close to me (Rosemary)
I think moving day will be this Thursday June 27
-- two days after mom and dad celebrate 66 years of marriage ♥♥
I am preparing for a busy week helping with the transition [huge move].
And.... I think I will be very busy after that too.
I will try to put photos up when I have a minute or two

Update Monday June 10th

What a week!
Mom has made great improvements this past week.
She has been taking physical therapy every day with Dave and on the week-end with Jonathan
She is standing by herself holding onto a rail, she can walk with assistance around a big table.

Monday June 3

An update on mom from Rosemary
I just heard from the admissions person at Loudoun Rehabilitation Center. She told me that the therapy people there at Loudoun Rehab do not see any more therapy they can give mom.... ?? so they cannot admit her to that rehab center. I am quite disappointed in their method of acceptance... perplexed as well. How can they say this when all of the reports have been positive from HH rehab.
Well, too bad for them. I do not think any of us are interested in this place anymore.
So now we have to look at other options. All of them do involve mom and dad moving here to Virginia... We have to work fast.
